Summer School 2015

This year, the Summer School will be held in Kendal in the Lake District from Saturday 15th August to Wednesday 19th August 2015. This is open to all members of the organisation.

What is it?

The Summer School is an opportunity to practise with other members of the organisation, with training each day for 5 consecutive days. There will be 2 to 4 hours of practise each day, hosted by our Kendal club, and taught by Sensei Phil Bolt, 5th Dan. You can take part in any or all of the practise.

Lesson Times

  • Saturday 15th Aug 15:00 to 17:00.
  • Sunday 16th Aug 10:00 to 13:00.
  • Monday 17th Aug 10:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 15:00.
  • Tuesday 18th Aug 10:00 to 12:00 and 13.00 to 15.00.
  • Wednesday 19th Aug 10:00 to 12:00.

Various optional activities will be arranged outside these activities: walks etc.

Note: Gradings will take place before the lesson on Saturday, from 14.00.


Training costs will be £5 per hour, plus a one-off registration fee of £5.

The total schedule will be £80.

These costs are the training costs, and do not include accommodation or food/drink.


There may be rooms in a care home in Morecambe approx 23 miles away; the home is owned by the parents of one of the Kendal club's members.
